The Development

We expect the development to comprise of:

  • Battery energy storage units

  • Power Conversion Systems (including inverters and transformers)

  • Site security, including fencing, CCTV and lighting

  • Landscaping

  • Substation and a switchroom

  • Staff welfare building and car parking

At the end of its operational life, the equipment will be removed and the land restored.

As part of the planning process, the surveys and reports that will be submitted as part of our Section 36 application being made to the Scottish Ministers will include:

  • Landscape and Visual Appraisal

  • Heritage Impact Assessment

  • Flood risk assessment and surface water drainage strategy

  • Ecological Impact Assessment and a specialist species survey

  • Arboriculture Survey

  • Noise Impact Assessment

  • Transport Statement and Construction Traffic management plan

  • Outline Battery Safety Management Plan

  • Baseline Economic Assessment

  • Planning Statement

  • Design and Access Statement

  • Pre-application Consultation Report
